We’ve added stronger scheduling safeguards, a new way for staff to review their hours, and reliability improvements across Shopify Admin, Shopify POS, and the API.
  • Schedules now show shifts from other locations as read-only cards, warn about draft overlaps, and block conflicts with published shifts to help prevent double-booking.
  • Staff can now review weekly clock activity in the Staff Portal, including worked, regular, overtime, and break totals, plus a detailed timeline for each shift.
  • New merchants now see clearer seven-day trial terms, included features, and pricing before opening Shopify’s approval screen.
  • The dashboard is easier to use on mobile, and daily attendance opens the first category with results so managers can get to relevant shifts faster.
  • Shopify POS now recovers more reliably from expired clock transactions and unavailable status caching, helping clock actions remain responsive.
  • API documentation now explains reversed date ranges, empty-page defaults, error responses, and upcoming removal of shift and break entry ID fields.
